THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

 

Many have asked "What does Oleah mean?". 

Olea is the botanical name of the olive, a fruit that endures immense pressure to yield the precious olive oil, once one of the most sought-after commodities in ancient times. We find a beautiful parallel between the olive’s journey and that of the modern woman.

Today’s woman is a true superwoman—whether she’s a wife, mother, mentor, executive, or all of the above. She masterfully balances these roles and the pressures that come with them, emerging each time with strength and grace. Her ability to cultivate beauty and value in her own life and in the lives of others is what inspires us. At Oleah, we strive to push beyond our own limits, creating beauty and value not just for ourselves but for everyone we touch

Oleah Clara Han

Creative Director

A lifelong lover of high heels, Clara would always don her highest pair for important presentations and meetings. Standing tall always gave her a confidence boost and feeling ready to take on whatever the world throws at her. Being up and about on her feet all day, meant a comfortable pair of heels was of utmost importance. Yet finding a pair of stylish heels that were also comfortable seemed impossible. Frustrated by the lack of stylish comfortable heels, she took matters into her own hands and Oleah Handcrafted was born.

Clara has a Diploma in Footwear Development by Textile and Fashion Industry Centre (Taf.tc), a programme jointly developed by the renown pattern making school, Ars Sutoria Italy.

She is passionate about the Oleah experience and personally looks into all details from design, to material selection, production, packaging, to customer experience and more; ensuring only the best quality reaches our customers.


Joel Lim
Sales, Marketing and Operations Director

With a background in IT consulting, Joel Lim transitioned into Fashion, bringing his problem-solving skills and customer-first mindset to Oleah. As Sales, Marketing & Operations Director, he oversees daily operations, sales strategies, and marketing execution, ensuring a seamless customer journey from booking appointments to fulfilment.

Joel is passionate about making every customer feel valued, combining efficiency with a warm, approachable personality. He goes the extra mile to ensure that every interaction—whether in-store, online, or at events—is warm, attentive, and tailored to each individual.  He ensures that Oleah delivers not just stylish, comfortable shoes but is a brand that also truly listens, solves, and serves.
